Job Profile Summary Responsible for managing and performing skilled trades and lower level apprentice craft work for construction, maintenance, and repair of facilities systems, buildings, and equipment including: • Installation, repair, and maintenance in a manufacturing or field site environment. • Installation, repair, maintenance, dismantle, and movement of large and/or complex industrial equipment. • Service and repair of automobiles and their parts.

JOB SUMMARY
This is an operations position responsible for supervising the activities associated with the general maintenance, repair, and appearance of the facility, outside grounds, security, power industrial equipment technicians and third-party providers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, expense management, compliance with government regulations, ensuring safety and security of the building, its contents and people and management and direction to facility maintenance staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises the daily work and safety of associates engaged in building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration systems, beverage department, power industrial equipment, and security.
• Review, coach, and develop the maintenance associates.
• Monitoring work, adherence to policy and safety requirements. Issuing discipline when necessary.
• Maintains associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings.
• Facilitates on-going interaction.
• Keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures; monitors associate morale.
• Submits and responds to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement.
• Supervises the proper selection, purchase, utilization, and inventory of company assets in support of the facilities, beverage department, and power industrial equipment and security departments.
• Coordinates with other departments as necessary to ensure upgrades and repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Assist with developing business relationships to ensure communication and efficient operations with third-party vendors, including but not limited to, janitorial, pest services, security, external contractors, facility maintenance and beverage.
• Maintains current certificate of insurance and hold harmless agreements for all contracted vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• 3 years of on-the-job maintenance experience with electric pallet jacks and electric forklifts.
• Understanding of general building maintenance, refrigeration, plumbing, processing equipment, welding, and AIB preparation.

Professional Skills

• Ability to manage and motivate.
• Able to solve problems and effectively articulate and communicate information.

• Parts on hand (inventory).
• Taking equipment out of service.
• Training mechanics and employee’s on preferred work methods (PWMs).
• LOTO

• Hiring/Termination (Manager, VP, and President).
• Corrective Actions (Manager, VP, and HR).
• Purchase of equipment (forklift, jacks, dollies, etc..) (Manager, VP, and President).
