Job Profile Summary Responsible for managing or performing work associated with converting raw materials and components into finished goods including: • General production manufacturing work. • Assembling finished components or parts into finished products. • Process manufacturing batches of bulk materials/ingredients including mechanical processing (e.g., mixing, grinding, separating, filtering, etc.) and chemical processing (altering the chemical properties of materials through chemical reactions and changing temperature, pressure, etc.). • Setting up and operating machine tools to convert materials into parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies. • Surface finishing of parts, components, and assembled items including washing/painting/plating/anti-corrosion coating, hardening, polishing/engraving/etching, etc. • Packaging materials or finished goods into containers for the purpose of protection, display, and handling.

• General clean up (boxes, trash, etc.)
• Assist production supervisor as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional Skills

• Must be able to speak, read and communicate effectively in English.
• Bi-lingual preferred.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

Physical Demand

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk.
• Required to stand; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment

• Able to work in a cold environment.
• Must be able to meet hygiene requirements for food service.
• Can work overtime and weekends if needed.
