Job Profile Summary The position is responsible for directing a team through the initiation, development administration and control of all maintenance related repair warranty claims (including Fleet, Material Handling Equipment) across different Sysco maintenance facilities, locations and relevant third-party suppliers. The role also includes directing investigations into potential warranty claims to seek possible credits from the manufacturer. The role also includes exploring strategic areas such as extended warranties, equipment reliability, predictive maintenance, etc. also manages strategic relationships with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to implement short-term goals and long-term business strategies. The role includes being responsible for managing equipment/ parts and service recalls, campaigns and bulletins, development of opportunities for new equipment in servicing PDIs (Pre-Delivery Inspections), downtime reimbursement areas, etc.

Job Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise filing of eligible warranty claims through work orders raised across maintenance facilities, follow-up with vendors and process received vendor credits
Lead the development of policies and procedures necessary for corporate governance to assure optimal application of the warranty program across the entire company
Work with Directors of Fleet and Facility Maintenance on maintenance protocols, periodic inspections not currently directed by manufacturer, TSB (Technical Service Bulletins) adherence, work order trends specific to frequency of specific repairs not covered by OEM warranties, etc
Setup mechanisms for regular monitoring of open warranty claims, follow-up/ co-ordinate with vendors
Develop and maintain management reports, performance metrics for warranty reimbursements
Direct the analytics associated with labor, downtime, overheads, productivity, etc. metrics pertaining to warranty
Direct periodic, field training across maintenance facilities and coach team members on processes, policies, etc.
Act as interface between Sysco and vendors/suppliers for warranty claims and lead analysis on contested warranty claims
Education Required:
Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree
Education Preferred:
Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree in automotive technology/ fleet mgmt./ Material Handling Equipment mgmt. or related field with training in engines, drive trains, hydraulics, braking systems & computer science preferred or equivalent combination of education & related experience
Experience Required:
10 years of qualifying experience in maintenance or related field with experience in warranty programs, customer service and computer applications.
5 years of management or supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Experience Preferred:
Tableau, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
Licenses/Certifications Preferred:
Possession of any ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications up to, and possibly including “Master Mechanic, Technician” level is desirable
Skills and Abilities:
Basic understanding of vehicle & equipment (incl. trailers, tractors, refrigeration units, forklifts, pallet jacks) warranty programs.
Good oral and written communication skills with ability to clearly and concisely provide information
Ability to plan and carry out assigned projects, resolve conflict, and coordinate work with others
Manage toward strategic and tactical goals with continuous improvement
Independently and proactively resolves problems.
Understands team dynamics and works well within team structure.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Advanced Excel and Power Point knowledge preferred
