Job Profile Summary The Director of Business Performance Improvement (BPI) will lead BPI initiatives focused on critical business / category performance by offering strategic leadership that quickly drives tangible results. Collaborating closely with Merchandising and cross-functional stakeholders, the Director of BPI will take ownership of our highest-potential opportunities, consistently delivering growth, share gains, and incremental gross profit. The role will demand proactive leadership, leveraging data-driven insights to develop and execute high-impact strategies & tactics. The Director will manage these efforts cross-functionally, engaging teams to prioritize growth opportunities, craft optimal solutions for category challenges, and partner closely with Field and Global Support Center teams to implement decisive action plans for execution and activation. Critical to success in the role will be the ability to secure alignment across Merchandising leadership and effectively communicate upwards to Executive Leadership, ensuring a clear vision and direction for growth initiatives. Furthermore, the Director will serve as a mentor and coach, nurturing a team of high performers, while devising career pathways to continuously elevate their capabilities as the team evolves.   • Develop and deliver data-driven strategies to improve business performance for our largest opportunities, leveraging insights based on internal performance metrics, market & competitive trends, and qualitative inputs to support hypotheses.

  • Lead collaboration with Merchandising leaders and cross-functional partners to identify and prioritize the highest opportunities for growth, aligning strategic objectives and key performance metrics.

  • Lead the delivery of comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify drivers of underperformance and opportunities for improvement within our categories.

  • Deliver plans to activate against the largest growth opportunities by partnering with Field Merchandising and Sales teams, leveraging insights to drive informed decision-making and strategic execution.

  • Coach and mentor the team to develop a deep understanding of growth levers and performance drivers, empowering them to make actionable recommendations for Merchandising teams to capitalize on growth opportunity areas.

  • Lead a team of analysts to build tools and assets that enable efficiently identifying and addressing the largest drivers of performance.

  • Deliver an aligned approach for improving business performance to Executive Leadership, including objective, end-to-end, goal-oriented action plans.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, math or a related field.


Education Preferred:

  • MBA preferred

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of four years of post-MBA experience.

  • 10 years related experience with a proven track record of leading direct and/or indirect colleagues and building and leading a small team with cross-functional influence.

Experience Preferred:

  • Engagement manager or equivalent level experience with top-tier management consulting firms with significant work in development and execution of growth, Go to Market and/or commercial strategy.

  • 4 years of category management, product management or merchandising experience in CPG, Retail or Foodservice industry strongly preferred.

  • Experience in food service and B2B industries.
