Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for the successful coordination of projects through effective communication with internal customers and other external business partners. Monitor the progress and status of VAS projects from inception through completion. Proactively address potential issues in their respective DC to ensure the smooth and timely completion of Pre-pack and Rollout projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required:Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field and 2+ years of similar Supply Chain and/or Quality Control experience OR High School diploma or GED equivalent and 5+ years of similar Supply Chain and/or Quality Control experience. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Access and Word). Strong analytical, attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to problem solve, multitask, and prioritize work. Excellent communication, time management skills. Can work independently or collaboratively to accomplish objectives and is able to interact with all levels of management. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs as needed.
Preferred:Previous knowledge of SAP, and experience in supply chain operations in a distribution environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Communicate information to parties involved; this includes working with the VAS Coordinators, Warehouse, as well as Product Information Center associates to configure max pick bins.
Verify quantities needed for rollouts and works with the Product Information Center (PIC) to change max pick bins.
Request information from all other departments including Sales, Purchasing and Customer Care.
Assess and review Pre-Pack and Rollout orders, verifying stock transfers and special order, (STO & C Item) receipts.
Verify shipment requirements, e.g. Pallet height restrictions, special labeling, loading dock availability, need for a pallet jack and lift gate, in order to meet customer expectations.
Coordinate with the Pre Pack and Rollout Coordinators on picking and invoicing orders.
Perform quality and accuracy audits on completed Pre-Packs and Rollouts prior to shipment as required, e.g. High profile and international orders, no on site check-in and no Don representation at customer check-in.
Coordinate with VAS the process and selection of back orders to ensure shipments are complete.
Maintain Pre-Pack /Rollout calendars, tools (white board) and project checklists to track and address steps that are not completed.
Work with transportation to coordinate delivery instructions with assigned carriers while following the deliveries’ change of custody to ensure on-time delivery.
Manage inquiries from the VAS team and deliver solutions and answers in a timely manner.
Keep the DC Center and VAS Managers informed of issues and project results within the areas of assigned responsibility and escalates issues as needed.
Create shipments and group waves and verify in SAP that all deliveries have been accounted for.
Coordinate with warehouse team for product staging and order building.
Update appropriate spread sheets on the S: with all deliveries, shipment, and group waves
Verify all deliveries are packed after warehouse selection is complete and also that the boxes are palletized properly (per SAP).
Complete processing in SAP to obtain all necessary paperwork and check in documents.
Sort and prepare all pallet ID's and check in documents for loading purposes.
Match Customer’s Bill Of Lading (BOL) to invoices to verify that items and quantities are correct.
Obtain freight rates from selected carriers and completes shipment cost documents.
Instruct VAS team to complete invoicing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
