Requirements Responsible for employee transportation services, including chauffeur and fleet services, as well as messenger services within an organization. Activities include: • Driving of company executives and/or groups of employees in company-owned vehicles/shuttles. • Basic maintenance and cleaning of company-owned vehicles/shuttles. • Oversight of company fleet services, including cost evaluation and scheduling. • Company-owned aircraft flight operations.
Description
SUMMARY:
The Traffic Coordinator handles routing and reporting responsibilities for the Transportation Department in The Colony, TX. The Traffic Coordinator monitors compliance of the third-party delivery agents and handles daily driver check in. The Traffic Coordinator will encounter in-depth training in Roadshow Routing, GPS tracking, Daily driver check in, outbound shipping audits and clerical shipping responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Responsible for learning the Roadshow routing disciplines and producing all distribution volumetric reports that are available through the routing system.
Monitors GPS tracking system.
Checks in drivers from daily routes and reconciles daily DOT paperwork. Assists in checking driver’s logs, manifests and return documents to investigate adherence to procedure outlined in the driver’s handbook and additional updated management memorandums and directives. Notifies supervisor of potential issues.
Monitors the compliance of our third-party delivery agents and other carriers in regards to preferred methods and reporting.
Manages the overflow of local deliveries after routing.
Cross trains in other Transportation Department duties as well as Auditor functions in order to establish a total distribution operation background .
Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
- 2 years of prior customer service experience preferred.
- 2 years’ distribution/transportation experience in a high volume, route delivery operation preferred.
