Requirements Responsible for the storage and movement of materials and finished goods including: • Shipping and receiving. • Warehousing. • Order filling, picking, and packing. • Inventory control and records management. • Dispatch. • Developing transport schedules, methods, and routes. • Analyzing and projecting transportation costs. • Coordinating customs clearances and permits. • Maintaining, loading, packing, and driving vehicles. • Evaluating, selecting, and managing ongoing relationships with external transport providers (e.g., fuel suppliers, trucking/shipping companies, etc.). • Acquiring and managing fleet vehicles.
Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
The ideal Candidate will have the ability to operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker; ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift, ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time; ability to successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements; and ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.
Load Merchandise into appropriate truck.
Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots.
Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.
Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy.
Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, “Preferred Method Standard”.
Identify and report slot and put-away problems.
Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.
Performs house keeping duties as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Preferred : High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous knowledge of SAP, one year warehouse experience and previous forklift certification.
Experience
6 months of previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred.
Material handling equipment experience preferred.
Reach truck experience preferred.
Reach truck experience a plus.
Requirement
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must pass a functional capacity test.
