Description
JOB SUMMARY
Supervise office personnel. Oversee and assist with scheduling, invoicing, labeling, generating orders, and returns. Approve shipments through paperwork and pictures. Verify quality and accuracy of shipments before they depart from the warehouse. Responsible for implementing and executing Sysco IFG’s Food Safety Policy
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Approving folders. Approve dates of product to meet shelf life requirements. Inspect pictures from loading to ensure quality and accuracy of shipment. Review all pull sheets. Ensure temperature settings, as reviewed in pictures from loading, are set to the appropriate temperature for safe transport of product. Consult with the Market Manager, when needed, to obtain approval of close dated product to ship.
- Partner with outbound logistics team in scheduling and coordinating the pickup of all loaded containers in a timely manner.
- Ensure invoices of container shipments are completed. Print labels for product that need labels to export, adjusting information as needed and matching information to product on the dock. Generate orders and make placards for checkers and selectors.
- Process returns from orders that have shorts and date issues. Process returns from LTL shipments on product that has been returned.
- Conduct a daily review and approval of all inbound receivers to ensure loads are in compliance with HACCP standards.
- Supervise operations office staff to ensure adherence to IFG procedures while controlling costs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- HSD or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
Experience
- 4 years of warehouse experience and 1 year of supervisory experience
Professional Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to communicate effectively in English (in email and verbally), manage deadlines, have good time management skills and ability to prioritize and work under a high stress environment.
The work load can vary significantly. Associates in this role must have the flexibility to work shifts that may include long hours and have varying shift start and end times
