JOB SUMMARY:

The Workday Security Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security configurations within the Workday system to ensure data integrity, compliance, and appropriate access controls. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to support business processes while maintaining security best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Security Configuration and Administration

  • Design and configure Workday security roles, domains, and business process security policies.

  • Maintain security assignments and user access based on role-based access control (RBAC) principles.

  • Conduct regular security audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal and external policies.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues within Workday.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure Workday security settings align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, providing remediation and preventive measures.

  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary security documentation and reports.

Collaboration and Support

  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure security configurations support business processes effectively.

System Enhancements and Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate new Workday releases and security features, assessing impact on current configurations.

  • Implement enhancements and improvements to security policies based on evolving business needs.

  • Document security policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain a knowledge repository.

Access Management and User Support

  • Manage user provisioning and de-provisioning processes, ensuring appropriate access levels.

  • Develop and maintain security reports and dashboards for monitoring user access and activity.

  • Support role-based security changes and segregation of duties (SoD) analysis.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Workday security concepts, including domain security policies and business process security.

  • Experience in Workday security administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as GDPR, SOX, and HIPAA.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret security reports, logs, and audit trails.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Workday Security certification (preferred but not required).

  • Provide security training and guidance to users on best practices for data security within Workday.

  • Work closely with Workday administrators and functional leads to optimize security configurations.
