Requirements The Director of Quality Assurance – Product is responsible leading a team of FSQA professionals to ensure the proper deployment of all FSQA Systems for Sysco Brand and Category Managed Core Assortment products. This includes initial product approval and specification creation, initial and ongoing product evaluations and reporting to cross functional internal and external stakeholders key data attributes and insights related to the products.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Quality Assurance position is responsible for establishing a corporate quality assurance system and a team that promotes customer satisfaction and that positively impacts the financial performance. Champions continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives to establish an effective Quality Management System (QMS).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, enhance, implement and oversee the quality improvement activities as appropriate to raise the performance of the company’s product lines.
Develops, implements manages and integrates a quality management system that supports and is in compliance with all food safety guidelines and requirements. This includes the creation, maintenance and retirement of products as well as providing direction to various internal and external stakeholders.
Serves as the primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement
Manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the coaching, performance management, training, and staffing of the business segment to meet quality/continuous improvement goals as well as the department’s budget and goals.
Establishes, enhances, and implements metrics (the various data capture, data analysis and reporting processes) for monitoring system effectiveness and responsible for the communication of these various processes to cross functional internal and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Food, Biological or Natural Science or equivalent years of related industry experience
Master’s degree preferred.
Education
5+ years of experience in QA systems implementation within the foodservice industry with a minimum of 3 years of progressive managerial experience
10 years of relevant QA experience preferred
Skills:
Ability to manage and motivate employees
Ability to solve problems independently and effectively articulate and communicate information
