Requirements Own the user experience component of re-imagining the digital customer experience for Sysco’s +400,000 customers. Manage the people, processes and technical direction across designated product management teams. This role is open to Houston based candidates or Austin (remote).
Description
Essential functions
- Collaborate with product leadership to develop, drive, and manage the annual strategic road map for Sysco’s digital commerce.
- Lead and manage product team and their career development by setting growth goals and measuring progress throughout the year. Advise and hold team accountable for delivering on their commitments and decisions.
- Oversee and manage the Sysco e-commerce portfolio and work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to balance road map, ad hoc, and technology workstreams.
- Create executive communications around the planning and progress of the portfolio.
- Actively engage with and support product managers as they execute phases of the product lifecycle including initial intake, discovery, design, development, and go-to-market. Directly interface with key business stakeholders to kick-off and manage high priority initiatives.
- Identify new opportunities to increase efficiencies and drive growth, in partnership with Sysco Corporate and product leadership.
- Advocate for the customer experience within the company. Drive standardization of key experiences across the company.
- Define, maintain, and support product Ways of Working including standards and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer / information science, business, engineering, human computer interaction (HCI), or related discipline coupled with relevant work experience.
- 7 years in management role leading a product management team.
- 10 years of experience in product management or related roles with experience in business analysis, user experience, information architecture, usability testing, quality assurance, and other related disciplines within a consultative or corporate environment.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer / information science, business, engineering, human computer interaction (HCI), or related discipline coupled with relevant work experience.
- Coursework and/or experience in project /program management or product operations.
- Experience in hospitality or the food service business.
