This position is responsible for operating and trouble-shooting production filler lines at a standard level or above while monitor label placements, weight measurements, and torque pressure periodically. The position also must be able to make adjustments to label placement, capper grippers, and tape machine alignment. This position must manually record daily production and any possible down time, assist coworkers at material handling and palletizing of finished good product.
Proficiently perform primary responsibilities 1, 3 and 4 of the Machine Operator Level 1 position.
Produce a high volume finished good product on a consistent level for a period of 8 to 9 hours, monitor label placement, torque pressure measurements, and fill heights / weights.
Actively learn and receive training on effectively operating lines 1 and 5 and the removal, repairing of capper chucks and the proper way to train new operators.
Troubleshoot the line when errors occur and be able to articulate the issue clearly if it requires maintenance level adjustments or troubleshooting exceeds 10 minutes.
Replacing and aligning tape in the tape machine. Adjusting label placement, filler weight, and capper torque.
Maintain a standard level practice of GMP and housekeeping at all times.
Degrees/Certificates Minimum Required: · High School diploma or general education degree (GED) · Mechanical education is a plus
Years and type of experience Minimum Required: · 2 or more years of verifiable experience operating liquid filler lines · Completion of the Machine Operator Level 1 position
QUALIFICATIONS and Proficiency Minimum Required: · Sufficient knowledge on the operation of at least 75% of the lines on the plant · Ability to effectively troubleshoot lines and clearly articulate issues to maintenance and/or quality · Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement · Ability to make the mechanical adjustments listed above · Knowledge of FDA and OSHA regulations a plus

Performs adjustments or requests mechanical assistance as needed on the filler line to be able to reach maximum efficiency.
Most important decisions made with review and approval of other individuals or supervisors (include the reviews/approvals required):
If line speed needs to be decreased or if rework of finished good product is necessary.

This position may require overtime and weekend work depending on business needs.
