We have a terrific Merchandising Specialist opportunity located at Sysco IFG's facility in Jacksonville, FL. 




The primary purpose of the Merchandising Specialist is to analyze inventory levels and review with Buyers on a weekly basis. Work with inventory control on short dated product. Meet with operations on inventory levels of key items.


  • Review daily inventory reports
  • Analyze short dated product
  • Set up of substitution items
  • Attend shrink meetings
  • Create solutions for aging and obsolete inventory
  • Review and action on “On Hold” reports
  • Handle “Dated List”


Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree in related field preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of purchasing or inventory experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel (Advanced skills highly preferred which include knowledge such as pivot tables, v lookup, and report building)
  • Experience with AS400 is preferred
