Work Schedule:

Sunday - Friday, 9:00PM to 7:00AM


Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work in confined spaces and awkward positions
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment including chemical resistant suits, gloves, face shields, safety glasses and steel toe boots
  • Work in environment with exposure to cold, water and cleaning chemicals
  • Must be able to use power equipment
  • Able to lift 50 lb. parts and supplies


Experience Required:

  • One year on-the-job sanitation / maintenance experience preferred
  • Understanding of general building sanitation /maintenance preferred
  • One year of Leadership and supervisory experience preferred



  • Conduct pre-shift meeting with both FreshCuts and Value Added team before commencing operations to discuss any findings from previous night’s work and corrective actions moving forward.  Hold nightly safety meeting and drive home the point of safety requirements must be met and all PPE equipment worn at all times as required
  • Inventory of PPE for sanitation operations (gloves, face shields, respirators, rain suites, boots etc.)
  • Ensure pre and post trips are conducted when operating equipment, verify for completion
  • Conduct weekly safety meeting and drive home point of topic
  • Ensure night sanitation team complies with SSOP’s and ensures food safety standards are met
  • Ensure daily and weekly SQF paper is completed
  • Conduct inspections of all machines, tables, equipment in both processing rooms after sanitation team has conducted operations to ensure room is ready for production
  • Conducts inspections of ALL coolers ensuring all slots, lanes and racks are thoroughly cleaned with no excess debris/build-up/stickers are missed
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures where suitable (compactors, sanitation chemical release systems)
  • Ensures all findings are corrected and verification paper work is completed. (FC & VA monthly cleaning schedule and Pre-Operational Sanitation Inspection)
  • Responsible for ALL allergen spill clean-up during the night shifts, ensuring documentation is correctly completed
  • Perform daily structural inspections of the warehouse, verifying temperatures of coolers against on screen display from control room
  • Conduct head count in an emergency situation, ensuring all team members are accounted for
  • Monitor chemical usage, informing the Asst. Facilities Manager when chemicals lots are changed to assist in the chemical recall program
  • Ensure night sanitation team complies with Opco’s health and safety and general policies
  • Perform internal ATP test to ensure area has a low micro bacteria presence after cleaning
  • After acid wash on designated days randomly test for the presence of residual acid left over from rinsing. All drains will be tested last to ensure all chemical is gone
  • Complete, neat and accurate documentation of any issues outside the normal acceptable standards
  • Monitor your crew at all times for excessive breaks and being out of work area
  • Start shift on time, get to work area within acceptable time frame, hold employees accountable for being on time to work, dress, punch in and be at meeting promptly at 9:30
  • Dress and perform at a supervisory level at all times
  • Keep Manager informed daily of all needs, discrepancies, crew performance and any additional information required
