This role is responsible for leading solution design and development that improves components of the margin waterfall. This role will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality analytics and implement continuous improvements on existing models and processes. In addition, this role will be responsible for summarizing analysis into action-oriented recommendations, communicating to executive audiences, and partnering with Merchandising, Sales, and Finance stakeholders to execute solutions.



  • Lead initiatives to optimize price/cost components of the margin waterfall across product categories, leverage data analytics to create insight and recommendations, and develop tools/processes to enable the organization to better use price as a strategic driver
  • Develop business cases to support new solutions and communicate values and impacts
  • Partner with Sales, Merchandising, Finance, and IT stakeholders to drive alignment, execution and adoption of initiatives at corporate and in the field
  • Collaborates with field Revenue Management leadership to develop appropriate solutions, aligned with market and corporate strategies, to address business challenges
  • Partner with Finance, BI, and IT to develop optimal metrics that measure behavior and impact
  • Monitor adoption and impact of various price strategies and levers; communicate value created from implementation of pricing strategies
  • Respond to field inquiries about price systems and processes and develop continuous improvements
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to analysts in their work efforts and manage assigned projects to completion


Education and / or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or other business related field required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Business Objects required


Preferred Experience:

  • Business consulting experience in Revenue Optimization/Economics/Finance/Pricing
  • Professional experience in profitability assessment, margin and revenue analysis, price waterfall analysis, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Wholesale food distribution or consumer packaged goods industry experience a significant advantage

  • Strong communicator who can design impactful presentations to executive stakeholders
  • Organizationally savvy and able to appropriately tailor messages and mediums, synchronize, socialize, and cascade communications



  • Ability to take a business question or problem and develop a structured framework for using data analytics to answer or solve problem
  • Ability to translate complex data analysis into actionable business insights to drive decisions
  • Possesses a strong general business acumen
