Job Purpose:


The purpose of the Data Entry/Customer Service Representative is to process orders, provide product knowledge and handle customer needs to achieve satisfaction.

Customer Service Manager


Salary Type: 



Shift time:

Monday – Friday 12:30 p.m. start time - Overtime eligible. 


Job Functions:


  • Answer phones and route calls appropriately.
  • Take and process customer orders, to include pricing and extension.
  • Print labels, load sheets and confirmations.
  • Print invoices, fill walk-in orders (will calls) and submit final transactions.
  • Communicate with the operations staff on product availability and product sold.
  • Transfer products and fill orders as needed.
  • Complete documentation and processing for sample requests.
  • Assist others within department based on business needs.
  • Handle distribution of mail and items transferred via tubing system.
  • Insure that trucks get out on time.
  • Assume responsibility for additional tasks as requested. 




  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Knowledge of office systems to include computers, fax machines, calculators, telephones, printers and copy machines.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
  • Computerized Data Entry skills (50 wpm)

  • Customer-Service Oriented.  Ability to handle customer concerns and requests.
  • Detail-Oriented.  Strong focus on accuracy of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with others. Strong team player.
  • Capable of adjusting to sudden changes in customer demands.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and carry out instructions in English.
  • Understanding of basic mathematical principles.   


Job Location and Physical Demands:

Duties are performed within an office building.  Occasional visits to the plant may be necessary.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; see; talk; hear; walk; use hands to handle objects, or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items up to 15-20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
