General Purpose of the Position:
The Customer Service Representative should have protein background. This knowledge will be used to process customer orders and handle customer needs. Protein knowledge includes types of meat, weights, specks and packing.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Standard requirements to qualify for the position shall include:
Take and process customer orders, to include pricing and extension.
Print invoices, manifests, pick tickets, cut tickets
Assist with walk in customers
Communicate with the operations staff on product availability and product sold.
Communicate with the transportation staff on invoices and routes.
Transfer products and fill orders as needed.
Complete documentation and processing for sample requests.
Assist others within department based on business needs.
Open and Close business day in company system.
Process routing needs for Transportation Department.
Assist others within the department based on business needs.
Assume responsibility for additional tasks as requested.
Required Job Skills:
Qualifications Requirement to qualify for the position shall include:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in the field (protein) or in a related area.
Protein product knowledge or experience is plus. Cuts, weights, specks and packing).
Knowledge of office systems to include computers, fax, calculators, telephones, printers and copy machines, internal data base systems.
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Flexible schedule, must be able to work early morning shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Ability to read, write, comprehend and carry out instructions in English.
Capable of handling multiple tasks at once. High Energy Level.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. When talking, possesses “A smile” in their voice.
Customer-Service oriented. Ability to handle customer concerns and requests.
Detail Oriented. Strong focus on accuracy of work.
Capable of adjusting to sudden changes in customer demands.
Understanding of basic mathematical principles.

Excel and Word fluency a plus
Education and Experience:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Duties are performed inside the front office of a warehouse building. Occasional visits to the warehouse may be necessary. While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, see, talk, hear, walk, use hands to handle objects, or controls; reach with arms and hands.
