POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for space planning and overseeing the build-out of the company’s office space and for managing employee office movement. This fast paced job will require the candidate to manage multiple on-going projects to meet critical construction dates. This position will require an emphasis on communications, process, and design. Must be proficient in AutoCAD design, and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing design projects.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with management to establish and manage the budget for furniture and construction projects for all facilities.
  • Schedules numerous internal and external service providers and supervises a variety of furniture installation and construction projects.
  •  Leads project meetings, establishes schedules and supervises tasks of Internal/external construction crews, furniture installers, movers and IT service providers.
  •  Manages and allocates available inventory and creates project specification lists. Works with vendors on coordinating pricing and places orders through Purchasing.
  • Supervises installation, facilitates invoice payments.
  •  Prepares drawings for project-specific tasks and shares with internal/external service.
  • Providers and maintain accurate database of floor plans.
  • Utilizes CAFM system, reviews and approves space requests for employee additions and moves.
  • Works on numerous software programs to perform daily functions, including AutoCAD, Remedy, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, CAFM (FM Systems)

 

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) from College or University in a technical area of study

 

CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • AutoCAD 2018 or greater
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
  •  Knowledge in CAFM System (Computer Aided Facility Maintenance)

 

ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum five years of Corporate Interior design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
  • Ability to comprehend, analize and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
  •  Knowledge in CAFM System (Computer Aided Facility Maintenance)

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  
  • Some travel, less than 25% is required.
