This position is responsible for coaching, mentoring and developing the talent of at least 8 sales associates to achieve planned pound growth and GP$ growth within the company. The Sales Manager role requires deep category knowledge and exceptional management of sale performance among a Meat Company’s team of Sales Consultants.
Manage the performance and development of Sales Consultants within the company using Sysco’s CMP process.
Engages in one-on-one coaching and direction by conducting weekly work-with’s.
Effectively lead and facilitate sales meetings that educate, motivate and ultimately produce key behavior changes to drive sales.
Accountable for successfully implementing key corporate/market changes and programs across all local sales positions; ensuring all sales associates achieve required behavior changes and performance metrics.
Develop and coordinate sales selling cycle and methodology.
Fully leverage available tools and resources within all local sales departments in order to ensure a high level of accountability and communication.
Partner/coordinate with the OpCo Director of Business Resources to maximize the productivity of sales support resources to grow profitable sales.
Successfully drive Specialty brand results and maintain a strong focus on product establishment and conversion opportunities.
Participate in all national campaigns and promotions.
Directly manage and engage critical/developing customer accounts, and ensure proper management of all other accounts in territories.
Professionally represent Sysco at community and/or business meetings to promote the company.
Develop and deliver sales budgets.
Assign all territory/customers changes or allocations.
BS or BA Degree in Business, Marketing or related studies.
5 years with extensive experience in sales, merchandising, management, or culinary/foodservice including leading others in sales.
Analytical thinker, results driven, excellent communication and leadership skills. Problem resolution expertise.
