Briefly describe the major function of this position and the reason it exists. Summarize into two or three sentences.
This position is responsible for promoting the company’s products and services and for building relationships with new and existing accounts by managing the Multi-Unit Sales function/ organization. The main focus is to lead the efforts of the specialty meat company in the area of Program sales. Focus is on growing and managing profitable multiunit sales with existing customers and prospects. At a minimum the role will be responsible for $10MM> in MUS, spread over 6+ accounts
In order of importance (most to least), briefly describe 4-6 primary responsibilities of the position, and approximate the percentage of time spent on each.

Act as primary point of contact between customer and company to work out details regarding services, products, and problems.
Manage customer relationships by developing regular communications with key customer contacts. Respond promptly to all complaints from customer(s) and follow up to ensure problem resolution.
Promote customer profitability by working to retain and grow accounts and maintain profitability. Work with purchasing to ensure products needed to service multi-unit customers are ordered timely. Coordinate product changes, requirements, etc. with purchasing and operations.
Coordinates the demonstration of products emphasizing salable features to benefit the customer.
Resource management: Responsible for allocating all company resources for the successful management of multiunit accounts. Includes production, merchandising, warehouse and logistics.
Resource development and training: Conducting customer visits, presentations and business reviews.
Coordinate overall company efforts to ensure continuous high service levels by efficiently and profitably managing, serving, and growing designated multi unit customers.
Work directly with suppliers as needed to customize product offering to best match customer needs.
Work active list of multiunit prospects for the meat company.
Work with other SSMC’s and the national contracting office in Dallas to lead or coordinate activity for customers that require multiple meat companies to fulfill nationwide/regional needs.

High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company insurability standards. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Agricultural Science, or Culinary Arts preferred
Years and type of experience
7+ years of Sysco experience or 7+years of relevant industry w/ Sales management (managing a portfolio of business and people) experience.
Type and proficiency
Ability to manage and motivate a sales organization within an OpCo managing $10MM> MUS
Ability to multi task
Familiarity with customer service activities and interdepartmental and cross-departmental communications
Effectively present information
Knowledge of MS Office
