General Purpose of the Position:

The FreshPoint Retail Marketing Associate is responsible for sales of company products to assigned accounts in a designated territory.

 

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor’s Degree a plus

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Increase sales in existing accounts and develop business in new accounts utilizing sales tools made available through training, support and physical equipment.
  • Management of accounts receivable to all accounts in territory.
  • Accountable for the development of and carrying out a sales plan for his/her territory.
  • Conduct business in a professional manner consistent with Company guidelines.
  • Responsible for personal development by actively participating in mandatory sales meetings, in-house workshops, outside training sessions and utilization of the Ultimate Success library.
  • Responsible for responding to unscheduled customer service requirements.
  • Responsible for following directives issued in accordance with the development of a successful territory sales and marketing plan.
  • Responsible for maintaining a current account solicitation schedule.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.
  • Good attendance and adherence to work schedule

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. NON-PHYSICAL
  • Food service/retail sales experience required.
  • Ability to speak and write English/Spanish in a clear, understandable manner.
  • Ability to operate automobile or arranged transportation to meet demands of the position.
  • Ability to operate calculator.  
  • Must be able to perform basic arithmetic calculations (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentage functions).
  • Personal Computer experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand and utilize Company sales report.
  • Maintain adequate personal automobile insurance and reliable vehicle.
  • Maintain a valid Florida drivers’ license with a good driving record.
  • Recommend home office, complete with facsimile machine.
  • Ability to work long hours during weekday and weekend.

 

  1. PHYSICAL
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and/or move heavy cases or objects (50 lbs.) on occasion.
  • Must be able to use hands, arms and feet for operating office equipment such as computers, telephones, fax machines, ten-key calculators, etc.
  • Must be able to bend and stoop occasionally to reach file cabinets, boxes, etc.
  • Requires the ability to read written instructions, reports, and other documentation.
