Requirements As a key member of Sysco’s Internal Audit team, you will participate in building out and maintaining and world class audit program to provide data-based insights into key financial, IT, and business processes. You will work creatively on a variety of projects across a global organization with a diverse set of people. We’re looking for a team member with a strong data background who is enthusiastic and positive and interested in exploring new and innovative approaches to auditing which provide deeper insights for auditors and management.

What you’ll do: 

  • Help our Internal Audit teams develop techniques and skills to drive more data driven audits. Guide team members to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, creating more meaningful and impactful audit insights.

  • Promote a data-focused mindset across the team that emphasizes quantifiable insights to support audit planning and procedures.

  • Focus on continuous improvements across all Internal Audit activitieswith a focus on process development, redesign, documentation, presentation, reporting and ongoing management/accountability for Audit and SOX processes.

  • Help influence and manage visibility, accountability and key metrics across our Internal Audit plan through demand planning and key metrics.

  • Build and mentor a community of Internal Audit Data and Process Advocates fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.

  • Provide training and development for internal audit staff on data analytics tools.

  • Iteratively automate the testing of key SOX controls, manage approval, versioning, rollout and execution of required workflows.

Who you are:  

  • Possess a passion for results, operating with autonomy, and a genuine interest in streamlining our operations and improving SOX/audit efforts.

  • Excellent problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, data analytics, computer science, statistics, business or a related field arerequired.

  • MBA or Master’s in Business Analytics is preferred.

  • 4+ years’ experience in internal audit, external audit, data analytics, business intelligence, organizational process/performance development and management are required.

  • Experience with Python, SQL, and comfort with ERP systems is preferred.

  • Experience with Alteryx and data visualization tools such as PowerBi or Tableau is preferred.

  • Experience in Audit analyticsand a data focused Center of Excellence is preferred
